"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

So cute! Rain check for sure, Pix. We're going to Seattle (second car trip of the summer with preschoolers!!?!) to escape the summer heat some time, but I think we'll be here then.

SURE!

Signed, 2 gold crowns, 2 porcelain over nobles, one blessed root canal and countless fillings. And now I visit the dentist on the order of 4 times a year to check (going to switch to 3 if the next is good.) And about half not on preferred provider insurance. I haven't added it up, but at least $5k out of pocket...

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

marching experiment : I stayed in place , but there were a few side wobbles. I suspect I would do that even with my eyes open.

Composting. I turn the pile when i feel like it. It gets way to dry in he summer. guess what, i breaks down by it self. And you don't have to do anything with it. let it sit and be dirt. I add teh kitchen waste when I have my act together, but that isn't as often as you think.

I grew up recycling. DH did not . It shows. But we are working on

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

won't put in coffee or tea

What? Those are the best! My dad puts his coffee grounds directly on the various citrus trees and azaleas in their yard.

I suppose it depends on what you are growing and what kind of soil you already have.

Yeah, we put a ton of coffee in our compost bin and it yielded some fantastic compost this spring.

Ooo! I want a compost crank!

YES! That's so cool!

sarameg - Jul 15, 2010 5:33:39 pm PDT #12773 of 30001

Ok, so I should dump my coffee grounds over the edge of the balcony on the postage stamp, eh?

I'm only getting back to coffee after about a year. I was on a serious chai kick since Nepal. But haven't found the kind I like in a couple months.

Marching in place: I drift a couple inches forward and to the left (... to the left, to the left.) Also, peanut butter is good, but pupusas would have been better.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I tried marching in place twice, once with flip-flops on and once without. Both times I was very surprised when I opened my eyes at how far forward I had traveled.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

You need a compost crank

I have been using a large stick which is remarkably similar to the compost crank, but which was chosen at random.

Some time ago I realized that growing older meant continually finding new ways your body can turn on you.

I have spent thousands on dental work over the last few years, but so far nothing awesome has happened.
