Hey, cool. Google Maps knows history. For most of Eastern Europe, at least, you can search for a town by its old name and the country it used to be in, and it will get you to the current name and country. I tried a few names and countries from before WWI and from the interwar period, and it found nearly all of them, even though some of them have gone through at least three different names and countries since then.

I just had an excellent dinner and Celtics game watching with some good friends, and a surprise ride home! Good times. I always say I'm too lazy to eat ribs, but these had been cooked low and slow all day, and the meat literally fell off the bones. Dag, that was good.

It`s funny how political mapmaking is.
Yet when you step back it sort of makes sense in that maps are the visual representation of how one literally looks at the world, which at the most basic is cultural which easily extrapolates to political.
I am so tired. I've been up since 3:00 AM and it's still my turn to do midnight feed tonight. Oof.
We had dim sum for dinner because I wanted the green beans at Din Tai Fung so badly. But they had shumai which were AMAZING and Noah devoured his rice. nom nom nom.
