Oh honey, the mentally unwell people have been in the fanbase since Game Changers was Stucky fanfiction on the internet. The calls have been coming from inside the house the whole time!

I just ate an entire 3-serving Uncle Ben's wild rice box for dinner. I shouldn't still be hungry for dessert, right?

Our wings are not tired.

MsBelle, why the insistence on not checking any luggage?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Marrying Macon is very good. He is a swwetie, and they're in the same biz which is helpful.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Carbs just leave you hungry for more carbs, and by "you", of course, I mostly mean "me".

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

That guy's a punk. Boo.

I haven't heard so many "I" statements in my life.

OMG, I am so with ita. Am about ready to go off on people, which would be really bad for my continued employment. Especially since reviews are like, next week. ARGH. Am hoping it sticks to email and I can pause before hitting "send", because phone might be my undoing. AM SO LOSING ALL MY MARBLES AND MY HOLD ON ANY SENSE OF CALM OR REASON. ARRRRGH.

People keep pointing out more and more shit that needs to get done. I don't have time to do the ORIGINAL shit.

And then today, it was a SERIOUS Monday in disguise--I got locked out of an office (with all my stuff in it) for an hour, then there was a fire drill for 45 minutes, and then everyone had to leave because the office was closing due to the verdict/possible riots (...which is around when I would've had to leave anyway, but meant that traffic was so bad I missed my flight, and am still at the airport three hours after I was supposed to leave) AND when I get home it's supposed to be HOT HOT HOT, and my windows will not have been open.

ETA: Will someone just shoot me, please? At least then I can say I need to be on leave for the next few weeks...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good lord, meara. You need a break.

I got a three and a quarter or so percent raise. I guess that's good in this economy? Considering my review was off the charts awesome and I got a bonus that's unheard of last year, I know I wasn't getting dinged. I don't remember last year's and the one before was the promotion with a jump in the payscale.

That was the only good work thing today. I spent most of it chasing down a bug that we apparently introduced in Feb and haven't noticed until now. Sigh.

Oh, I have to share another good thing. Normally, the teens at the pool annoy me. Honestly, teens anywhere tend to. But these 5 guys, I'd guess they were late teens, were fooling around in the other empty lane. When I got in, one challenged me to a race. I told him only if I got to pick the distance. He was game until I told him it was going to be 50 laps. They looked at me, aghast. But he raced me for one (neck and neck) and then throughout the rest of my run, they'd periodically cheer me on and ask what # I was on and I'd flash fingers on turns to show them the count. I got a "damn, girl" when I finished up.

It was rather sweet.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Hmm. Dinner was half a pound of ground chicken and half a pound of chopped shrimp simmered in a cup of coconut milk, seasoned, served over rice, and topped with cilantro. It was pretty good, but next time I will start improving on the recipe. Probably will add basil and corn, and maybe some lime juice.
