My neighbor gave a me a rec for a relatively safe/enviro-friendly paint stripper (it is paint stripper, after all): "Back to Nature" Multi Strip. She says it eats through a bazillion layers if you leave it on long enough. She also wraps everything in saran wrap so it works longer.

This morning, when I finally decided to get up, I fumbled for my glasses, and one of the lenses fell out.
Yeah.
She also doesn't do ac.
That is just NUTZ in this weather. One window unit is cheap and so worth it.
Personally i've been pretty happy to have not been at home much these last couple of days and instead been in nicely ac'ed office and hospital. But my house hasn't been too bad, really. It's shady and well insulated. I don't get the cats not hanging out in the basement, though, it's like 15 degrees cooler than the rest of the house!
Chicken Diapers?
You know, I grew up next to a place that raised chickens, and chicken poop STINKS. I cannot imagine washing a smelly chicken diaper.
