Sometimes when I'm sitting in class... You know, I'm not thinking about class, 'cause that would never happen. I think about kissing you. And it's like everything stops. It's like, it's like freeze frame. Willow kissage.

I have been keeping all of our lights off due to brownout/blackout fears. I will not turn off the A/C though.

Punishingly Intricate

So they've implemented electric load reduction here at work. Whee?

Work remotely tomorrow. From Bob's awesome hospital room! Free consistent AC AND free wireless! And a nice view.

OK, that sounds well worth it to me, given that the Samsonite store is more convenient than the luggage repair places I googled up.

A Samsonite store might be even cheaper, I went back to the luggage store that I had purchased it from.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh god, today has kicked my ass to the point where I haven't had breakfast yet. And I have a meeting in fifteen minutes. And another at 5pm. And dinner with an out of town friend at 8. I am really not in love with the day, in any way. It's just...I'm glad I work with nice people. It could have been so much worse.

I now have 26 ebay auctions up. 7 are selling, hope that number goes up by bedtime. And yes, I still have more than 10 things to list.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I have six more minutes until vacation starts. Six very slow minutes.

Moo-oom, Calli is taunting us with vacation!

I'll be off my six month probationary period at work at the end of July. I am so looking forward to being able to take vacation days! Yay!

Has anyone done any of those "cash for gold" things? I was looking for something in my jewelry box and came upon a tangle of broken chains and stuff I don't wear any more. I don't really wear yellow gold anymore (used to a lot), so I won't bother repairing.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My mom did, and she got quite a bit of cash for hers. I think she decided to go with a local jeweler instead of one of the online companies.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I've gone to actual places that buy gold, never the mail in thing. You need to go in there with some knowledge about the karats, weight, and price of gold so you don't get lowballed. I was selling just straight up ounces of 24K gold so it was a lot easier to be all, hi, gimme t point to the paper where it said the price per ounce for gold
