It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Mom is in town while Bob takes yet another international trip (apparently Kant scholarship requires way more intl travel than expected). At her laptop she's complaining wile puzzled. "This article doesn't make any sense!" I look over and recognize the source. "Mom, that's from The Onion!" "Oh! No wonder it was so confusing." I need to send her to remedial comedy school, as she told me on the way home how much she enjoyed The Marriage Ref.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am in geek heaven tonight. We went to see our friend Jon's show. It's called USS Pinafore and is a retelling of Gilbert and Sullivan set in the world of Star Trek. It was funny and well-performed and we are so proud of Jon, who wrote and directred it. But the best part that Nichelle Nichols was there! And we sat right next to her! And she loved the show!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds awesome, Scrappy.

Heh.

I am so glad I went to bed early! Now I'm not angry that I woke up early. I wonder if I'll do anything with my day. Probably not.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Got up at 6:30 to feed the cats, then went back to sleep. Woke up again at 8 when the second alarm on my clock went off. (I didn't realize it was on. Fixed that) So here I am in my pajamas.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

It's a pajama morning here, too. I'm trying to get motivated to take a shower, but getting up from the chair seems a daunting project.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Yeah, it is changes in the law. Banks used to automatically enroll everyone in overdraft protection, and some wouldn't let customers opt out. New law says it has to be opt-in.

But the change in the law applies only to ATM card and (one-time) debit card transactions. Banks don't have to let you opt in before paying overdraft checks, for example.

And technically, banks can pay card overdrafts to their heart's content. They just can't charge you a fee if you don't opt in. (And yes, I know banks aren't going to knowingly pay overdrafts if they can't charge a fee. But sometimes -- oh, never mind, I've been working on this issue too much lately.)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No pajamas for me. Haircut day. Man, I wish I could still do this myself. Hauling ass out of the house for it is for the birds. I would totally rather loll around the apartment. And now my lolling has to be cruelly interrupted.

Though it is hatefully long (you can see it curl! the horrors!) and it will be refreshing to get it back to stubble.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am off to a baby shower and am leaving mac with a sitter. Fingers crossed that I do not get a call. I have bribed with full and unlimited access to tv, movies, DS, and PS2 today, but with mac, you just really never know.

Earlier this morning when he was refusing to help me get the cats to the vet and threatening to ruin my whole day, I pulled the incredible mature move of throwing an orange at the wall. good times.

I hope a few hours with other adults will be good for my head today.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm dog sitting for Amyth this week. On weekdays it doesn't change my schedule that much, but today it meant that I was up at 6. So I've gotten a lot done: dog stuff, dishes, grocery shopping, buying plants for my nursery. I've pretty much knocked out everything that I need to leave the apartment to do, except for hitting the gym tomorrow. Now I can laze about while the laundry swishes in the washing machine and the thunderstorms pass by. My kinda Saturday. I might see about just getting my ass outta bed on Saturday when I don't have dog duty.

Nah.
