Hot sweaty mess from walking back from pool. Could be worse, I have ac. Neighbor doesn't and it is 100 upstairs. And of course, she's been working on her porch all day. I wish I had cold beers in the fridge for them. Or gatorade.

Trashmen picked up half my trash. WTF? They took the bag on top and the bag of leaves, but left the littertub, a bag and some clippings. Sometimes, I just wonder.

Pint of heavy cream + about 1/2 cup of sugar + anything else you want = homemade ice cream. (I mean, sure you can get all fancy and make a creme anglaise, strain & chill overnight and use that as your base instead, but when you want ice cream now, Philadephia-style is the way to go.)

You'll want it a little sweeter than you think it should be, since you don't taste the sugar as much when it's cold.

Tonight Dylan and I made strawberry cheesecake ice cream - heavy cream + sugar + strawberry jelly + cream cheese. And then for good measure we swirled in some chocolate sauce while it was freezing.

smonster -very good flavor (assuming you mix other flavors in soy sauce) not much protein. But very rare for Americans to be protein deprived so would not worry about that for one meal

I am getting a little concerned that I need to get an air conditioner for my cat. It is so hot. She is old and is wearing a fur coat, and does not like to drink water under the best of circumstances. And she is meowing like a meowy thing.

Also, the only difference I can tell between dress slacks and women's slacks would be that maybe dress slacks are for men, and slacks for women are, well, for women. I have to admit, that I specifically picture a lined, pleated pant that is rather high waisted for women's slacks, while in my head, men's "slacks" are polyester dress pants from the 70's. This is why dress codes are trouble. Ours is "dress appropriately" which is a little vague.

I would worry more about my cat in the heat if he seemed to appreciate the air conditioning when I have it on in the bed room -- he leaves to go back out into the heat! Nutter.
