Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I forgot to TiVo it too. I will have to check it out on the HGTV web site.

Had lunch at Urth Caffe on Melrose with Polgara. She doesn't get why I like that place, but even though it's always full and there's a long wait for food, the food is tasty and the people are the funniest. The last two times I was left alone at my table I ended up in conversations with my neighbours, and this time was especially hilarious. Jamaican guy with no filter who'd been thinking no one had understood his phone conversation.

He continued to be cutely unfiltered when Polgara came back to the table.

We left him alone to bask in the view of the womenfolk of SoCal. I think he was going to quite enjoy himself. Urth Melrose is a good people-watching platform. It's why it's my Urth of choice, even though the ones in Santa Monica or Beverly Hills are nearer.

Going out for lunch with Polgara blew my long weekend wad. I've nothing but time to kill between now and my ER visit--the key is to minimise how much pain meds I use. Gonna be dicey. Must finish this disc of The Wire, though. And put up some pictures. And keep sketching, if the pain allows.

smonster, I know, right?

ita, what season are you on? I've still not started season 2, haven't found the time yet. But I need to get through it this summer, before the owner wants it back!

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

They have done an amazing job introducing all the new characters and making me fall in love with them. And they continue to handle race issues with a lot of nuance.

I'm Wire-remedial. I need to make it through the first disc. And make sure disc #2 is at the top of my list.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Detective Kima always made me think of you, ita.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I haven't been to Urth in ages. Must remedy that.

Neighbor warned me that the first season is slow to get into, but I mainlined it, pretty much, due to being trapped inside on account of snow. I can see it, though. I do want to watch the rest.

smonster, yep. And in a weird intersection, major character from the Wire!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oof. We did seven triple loaders of laundry today.

Tired now.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I had hoped to do laundry today, but alas, no. I have loaded it up ready for tomorrow morning though. It will finish off my homemade detergent, the bleach, and a good chunk of the laundry booster leftover from making the homemade detergent.

Also tomorrow I'll be unloading a large shopping bag of clothes and shoes to the recycling folk, and another large bag of paper recycling (courtesy of mac's room).

I do not think I will get any packing done tomorrow which is sad-making.
