Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Then I went out to the Division farmers market. I couldn't see the bus coming so I decided to walk a few stops and let it catch up to me. Which it did, a full two miles later and half a block from my destination. WTF, CTA?

I used to do stuff like that before the CTA bus tracker thing was available. Really, it's like magic.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Carmen was so much fun. We had a great time geeking out about NYC theater--her time overlapped Jason's time and so we know a LOT of the same people. Also we got to meet her wife, Lydia, who is sweet.

We scored 9 new to us movies on the walk back from McDs. $1 each. Mac is now watching the first Keaton Batman.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

My plan for the day included a hell of a lot of running around and cleaning and packing so I would be ready to leave for my redeye tonight, which I need to do by about 7:30.

What ended up happening was that I woke up with one of the worst sinus headaches I've ever had, and ended up going back to bed until almost noon.

I'm a little bit screwed, but at least I've managed to stay upright without puking or crying for almost an hour, so YAY.

When the movers took things to storage, they took 94 boxes or unpackable objects (dressform, mini-trampoline...), so far I've got 37 boxes packed and labeled in the house. I can only imagine how many more I have to go and how many more it would be above that if I had not gotten rid of so much. As it is I have about 3 boxes worth to still go out in the next week.

Which brings me to what I really need to get going on - ebay listings.

Ouch Perkins. I hope you feel better by your flight.

Thanks, Sue. I'm getting there, mostly by moving very very slowly.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Feel better, Perkins!

So I went out to get non-black shoes, and instead got black shoes and two dresses. And a beach coverup. But they were all on sale! And I really need the coverup, and one of the dresses is for a friend's wedding. I feel like I always get the level wrong for wedding clothes, so I hope this is OK.

Then I went grocery shopping. Somewhere in there, I realized that yogurt and blueberries wasn't actually enough for lunch, but I kept going, so now I am jamming popcorn in my piehole.

Apparently I've decided to clean all the things, to the point of dismantling my desktop computer to remove the dust bunnies.

At some point the frenzy will stop. I just hope the bed will be made again by the time that happens.
