Lorne: My little prince. Oh…what did they do to you? Angel: Nina…tried to…eat me. Lorne: Oh, you're--medic! You're gonna make it Angel. Just don't stop fighting. Doctor! Is there a Gepetto in the house?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

And, augh, quester, I'm sorry to be bitching about my job when I actually have one to bitch about. That was tacky of me.

eta: And I'm pretty sure you are in fact an awesome designer. The job market is just flat-out evil. One of the nursing stations upstairs from me posted a single position about a month ago and got something like 700 applications.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

JZ, you are more than entitled to bitch about your job. You are not tacky.

AS for being a good designer, no, I really am not. I should stick to looking for prepress or photoshop jobs. That's my real expertise.

But, you're right about the job market. It does truly suck.

I have motivation! •"get shit done or it won't get done oh crap" motivation, but, um. Am cranking through work at site, because we have a deadline this month and this is the last time I'm here before the deadline, and am getting endless "oh do this and this and this and find out why this" emails from above. Aaaaaagh.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

That was tacky of me.

No, tacky would be mentioning that, in a startling coincidence, my boss just came by and said that our boss agreed that it would be a good idea if we left at 2.

To make up for it, however, I really don't think I can leave at 2 anyway since I'm behind on various projects that are due next week.

Our wings are not tired.

Quester, I am very sorry you didn't get the gig.

JZ, and I am very sorry that your gig sucks so much!!!

I am taking today off to slounge with STEVE who is visiting me. Today is his birthday, and he already opened his gifts so we get to listen to the new Roots cd which is AWESOME! And later maybe we'll watch his new Prime Suspect dvds. I also gave him Photoshop Elements since he's been using an ahemed copy and I thought he should have the real thing. All in all, a very low-key day filled with doggies and maybe breakfast at the Oakland Grill later.

Tonight we're just hanging around the deck and barbequing some asparagus and mahi-mahi.

Tomorrow we will haz a meara!

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Someday, someone will come up with a theory as to why there are so very many crap workplaces. They don't have to be, people. We have evidence to the contrary at hand.

I have finished my homework for the week (oh, that my classmates gave as good discussion--or grammar--as the Buffistas. But I must reply to a post anyway.) Now I get to chug along on laundry and clean up some for filming here tomorrow.

Why is it that one never seems to have both money and time at one's disposal simultaneously? Oh, yeah, that "working" thing. (eta clarification: I am in the "time" camp at the moment...stupid job market)

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

Someday, someone will come up with a theory as to why there are so very many crap workplaces.

Because so many people suck?

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

JZ, foul. Just foul.

I am not leaving early, but my boss said I could subtract some of the volunteering I'm doing this weekend from next week's vacation time, since it is relevant to my work interests (zero waste special events).

Now tagless for your comfort.

In funnier news, Owen just tweeted to @god_damn_batman that "your show batman brave and the bold is good."

I'm ready for this long weekend. I had a brutal meeting with the United Way today about funding for my mentoring program that doesn't promise a lot of future funding. Which means we just need to find another source.

But my local coffee shop asked about the recycled coffee sleeves a friend of mine in Columbus makes so I may get a shipment for them to sell, making her some money, so, yay!
