What do you do when you erroneously receive an email filled with personal details? Do you respond saying, dude, you've got the wrong email address? Or do you just delete it?
Man, today is an obnoxiously Mondayish Monday. I'm just trying to get through it alive with my dignity somewhat intact.
When I was a proofreader at Giant Law Firm in NYC in the early 90s, we had to edit the master's thesis for one of the partner's wives. It was interminable, had a zillion drafts and was on Lamb of God Imagery in English Poetry.
I tend to write back.
I deleted, and now I'm having second thoughts.
I took typing in high school; they put the blinders around the typewriter and you had to touch type blind. I hated it, but I can touch type when I have to. A lot of my typing is done with cig in hand, so I go between looking and touch typing.
Icicles are MELTING. I'm so excited to feel the sun.
RE: The bear article. A) You think that once the bear broke into your garage once and raided the fridge in there, you'd realize that it's not a good place for a fridge and remove it. B) That bear is the Rasputin of bears.
I was discouraged from taking typing in HS since it was not in the Academic (oollege prep) stream of classes, and I rue that decision to this day.
Clio's tail, while not 100%, seems much better than even this morning. I may cancel her appointment for tomorrow. IOCatN, I caught Oz tasting the road salt this afternoon. Weirdo cat.
I took in a few small prints to get franed today and bought groceries. Those two errands took three hours.
I deleted, and now I'm having second thoughts.
Well, if someone has your address erroneously in their contact list, they'll send something else soon enough. If it was just a typo, they'll chalk it up to the vagaries of the internets.
Jeopardy are doing online test for future contestants Jan 26th-28th:

I took typing. I was horrible at it. Thank you for computers, and a back space that erases things, and spell check. I have some speed , if I am not thinking I touch type, but mostly I am a 6 fingered typist.
4 back spaces in this post.
I'm totally doing that, Sue! Thanks for the link. I went to a IRL Jeopardy test a few years ago and the test questions are SO much harder than the TV show questions. But I was close!
