Bacon smells gross.
Mmmm...chickpeas. I would eat them without the tahini and garlic!
I actually got some work done today. I kind of liked it!
For my fellow Saints fans-
From my cousin, she with the playoff tickets and seats behind Tracy Porter's and Darren Sharper's parents: I'm sorry, everything you say gets translated into 'WhoDat!' when it hits my brain - all I heard was "Madam Speaker, Vice President Biden, members of Congress, distinguished guests, and fellow WHODAT Americans: Our Constitution ... declares that from time to time, the President shall give to Congress WHODAT information about the state of our WHODAT union. For 220 years, our leaders have fulfilled this WHODAT duty. They've done so during periods of WHODAT prosperity and WHODAT tranquility. And they've done so in the midst of WHODAT war and depression; at moments of great WHODAT strife and great WHODAT struggle."
Her friend: I turned the channel when I realized that Congress was not, in fact, going to stand up and chant Who Dat.
I can eat garlic without the nasty chickpea intervention.
Bacon smells...like heaven. And I can barely stand smells these days. Bacon, vanilla, bread, and chocolate. Best food smells ever. As well as those others I haven't thought of.
I can't decide which thread this belongs in, so here: JJ Abrams board game. I haven't watched enough Lost to get it all, but I've got enough Alias, Fringe, Star Trek, and Felicity to grok most of it.
I think the tech meeting from hell is done. Which just means there's stuff I haven't thought of yet.
Timelies all!
Hummus: Yum. I don't like bacon(just don't like the flavor). I've read Pride & Prejudice, but no other Austen. (I have seen the movie of Sense & Sensibility with Emma Thompson)
That cover it?
German family granted political asylum in the US. [link]
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A German couple who fled to Tennessee so they could homeschool their children was granted political asylum Tuesday by a U.S. immigration judge, according to the legal group that represented them.
The decision clears the way for Uwe Romeike (roh-MY-kee), his wife and five children to stay in Morristown, Tenn., where they have been living since 2008. Romeike says his family was persecuted for their evangelical Christian beliefs and for homeschooling their children in Germany, where school attendance is compulsory.
I think we can all agree that Persuasion is the best Jane Austen novel
I agree with you Dana.
I like Lizzie Bennett but I want to slap the shit out of Emma Woodhouse.
I also agree with Cash.
Ranking of Jane Austen novels:

Hey, did you know that the sun warms things up?? It's been flurrying on and off all afternoon, but nothing was sticking as of 5:30 when I ran an errand. But I just looked outside, and it's all white now! Magic.
I think I've got my work computer mostly set up. Still have to figure out how to do some things, like where in the hell to find a certain shared server and eventually, must figure out scripting since my unix account aliases don't translate and I'm really lazy, but other than that...
All the tickets I filed resulted in someone coming in to my office and throwing the gates wide. Just as planned.
