"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have no toilet car advice for Stephanie.

ita's coworkers are rude.

I'm excited about the dinner I made for JZ.

I was mulling over the meal possibilities and feeling everything was somewhat sad and predictable, but I reviewed the possibilities and determined I could do something spiff if I could find some ripe pears.

I did! Very ripe. Perfectly creamy, sweet, and luscious D'anjour pears.

I had some fancy bread - the green onion and feta round that's my favorite local savory bread.

Cut two thin slices. Spread both sides with brie. Did a layer of fine sliced pears. A bit of fresh thyme. Then I made a ultimo fancypants grilled cheese sandwich, cooking it in butter with a press.

I also made a salad of greens, pear, feta and pistachio nut meat. Balsamic vinagerette.

Yay, not boringness!

Also, I still have two more pears.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ten canon fanboyed Five. That's cred right there. That's also a sentence that doesn't make sense to many.

I love Five. He wasn't as crazy as Four, but he had a charming flippancy. And he's cute. I just like Four, Nine, and Ten better. But it's a close race.

Went phone shopping. Don't wanna spend the money, but my current phone has started to turn itself off. I may be vaulted into the world of onscreen keyboards. Don't wanna. I can almost touchtype on this dinosaur. But if I stick to my carrier (T Mobile) and my OS guns (Android) there aren't that many options.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Oh, yum, David. I want that salad real bad.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm looking at Cliqs through T-Mobile, but I haven't settled on it for sure. I miss my phone being smart.

I played with a Samsung Behold and the myTouch because I wanted to get a sense of typing on the onscreen keyboards. I was crap on the myTouch, but the guy pointed out I was using my fingernails. Hard habit to break. He recommended the myTouch because he says HTC makes better hardware than Samsung.

Next time I go in I'll try the Cliq--from skimming the web there's no point trying the G1 in 2010. Just tapping at the keyboard on my old monster made me miss the mechanics again. And I'm interested in the MOTOBLUR software they have that consolidates your emails into one bucket.

I haven't tried one out, yet. Just looking at ads and yearning a little.

The ads for the Verizon Droid phone are beastly, but if I were feeling up to switching carriers, that looks like the phone I'd want. I'm not even sure I'll re-up with T-Mobile for two years to get the new phone there. So starting over with a new company is unappealing.

Hmm. But Verizon lets me get the phone on a month-to-month. Decisions, decisions.

DH has the Droid and loves it, but his company (which, for full disclosure, is in fact Motorola) deals with Verizon for him so I have no idea how they are as a carrier. Pretty good coverage, I guess.

I was just reading more up on the Droid, and I'm a little bit in love too. Man, if it weren't for the carrier switch. I don't wanna test switch carriers...

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I like my Droid a lot. I don't use the physical keyboard much, but I like knowing it is there. Switching from Sprint to Verizon was seamless, but my monthly bill went from $40 to $75, which causes me to wince still.
