This must be how Hec feels when people post about cats.

This is so me.

Hi people! I'm writing a quiz. Any good distractors of lit terms to go with synecdoche and allusion? Please to help.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

metonomy? I aways get it mixed up with synechdoche because of the syllables. I also get synechdoche mixed up with Schnectady.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Alliteration?

I haven't taught metonymy in part because I screw it up. I use synedoche generically for both (and Laurence Perrine from Sound and Sense tells me that's okay!)

Alliteration could work. But I think I need a meaning distractor and not a sound one.

Art Crawl!!!

ita, I was watching Tennis, then I switched to Emma - now I'm back on Tennis and trying to decide whether I should record the Federer/Hewitt match that is going to be on sometime after 2 am.

By this I mean, that I missed the end of Venus' match.

Librarian Warlord

This morning I tore half my eyelashes out when I was curling them and was startled by the sound of a limb cracking and falling outside (not on our property, but the neighbors).

IOW, ouch.

Also, my computer has a virus and the computer person keeps saying "I've never seen that before."

IOW, sigh.

Oh, that's never good.
