We also left the house today for the first time in several days due to the rain. It was great! Went out for breakfast and then to grocery. Baby slept the whole time. Woot!

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
We too ventured out in the sun post rain (not the first time in days as that pesky work has been forcing us out). The tops of the second set of mountains east of us are covered with snow and so very beautiful.
Noah's been 100% pilly (which is no fun) but has been helping us cook -- granola, cupcakes, sweet potatoes. nom.
Oh, I love seeing the snow-capped mountains. It's really happy-making. Plus, I think about the snowmelt for later in spring. I hope it stays cold enough to stay frozen up there for a good while.
Oh, Kat, that reminds me! I thought I had your address, but apparently not. Can you email me to profile addy. I have jean cut-offs to send you, now that I can escape the confines of my four walls.
I'm told Mt. Diablo has snow, but there's enough cloud between here and there that I can't see it. But there's also blue sky and we did not get rained on while out running the dog, so today looks like a win so far.
I saw this and thought of you Trader Joes = grammar nerds
1. I love it!
2. On the sidebar of that page was a link to a recipe for Doughnut Upside-Down Cake, where the baker took a Betty Crocker recipe for pineapple upside down cake and replaced the pineapple with mini doughnuts.
I am SO making that.
I haz my K-Bug. We stopped by the dojo on the way home from the airport. CJ was slightly stunned to have his sis walk in. Priceless! And a bunch of the other kids took a quick break from demo practice to give her a hug. Demo team is a bit more relaxed than an actual group class.
We went and got our hair cut, are considering a movie, and will be going to a comedy club this evening. Wheeeee, girl time.
Hooray for K-bug having!
Gorgeous pictures, Perkins. Looks like a fabulous day.
I didn't get dressed until 5. However, I caught up on a lot of my magazines that have been neglected, had a nice long swim at the pool (partly why I didn't get dressed. Seemed silly to shower if the only place I was going ends with a shower,) managed to run to the store and have started laundry. Veggie lasagna for dinner.
Yay for escapage, Liese! Being stuck inside makes me NEED to go out, which result in walking into a blizzard: [link]
I keep seeing this commercial where women are walking down grocery store aisles, and then they're horrified when they discover that the "diet" frozen dinner has 310 calories. And then they get all excited when they find out that the can of soup (don't remember the brand) has only 80 calories. I am puzzled. 310 calories per meal is generally too low. 80 calories per meal is nowhere even resembling healthy.
