Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Hail Fail (But Nice Try)

So someone sent in a photo purporting to be of large hail that hit his house.

Note that the 'hail' appears to be ice cubes.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Every time Tom writes that he's taking the A Train, I end up humming Duke Ellington.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Every time Tom writes that he's taking the A Train, I end up humming Duke Ellington.

Oh yeah. And when I lived on 107th, I was singing "Across 110th Street" every time I grocery shopped!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I was once walking past the corner of 53rd and 3rd when that Ramones song came up at random on my iPod. Didn't see any male prostitutes, though.

I love when stuff like that happens. I was walking in the Public Gardens the other day when I heard that Augustana song "Boston," and almost cried in public!

Hail Fail (But Nice Try)

Hah! That's kind of awesome.

Hmm. I can lay claim to the theme from WKRP, and that's about it.

Kinky Friedman's "Sold American" has the line "Once you heard the Opry crowd applaud/Now you're hanging round at 4th and Broad," which I think of every time I'm at 4th and Broad in Nashville, which happens at least a couple of times a year.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It Never Rains In Southern California better not come on. Though, thanks to the falseness of the subconscious it feels like every song is about the rain.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I think I have mentioned that there is some serious sketchiness going on at my job.

Well now one of the people involved in the non-business work that has been going on has resigned. He holds a sensitive position in the company, which would usually mean a quick departure, but he is hanging around for over a month! Also, his boss has not informed other of the resignation, but the resignee is talking about it openly today while boss is away. NOW, in addition, an employee of the resignee (this one is not involved in the non-business work that has been going on) has turned in a resignation. Resignee is talking about that openly and big boss doesn't even know yet. SO SKETCHY.
