So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I could own a truck stop in the spitwad town my mother left at 18!

I'd be able to visit all my dead people! (Look, I've spent a LOT of time in the cemetary there. And in the one up the road that's all overgrown out near the homestead.) And only 20 minutes to all my live people! It'd be awesome!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Tom and I suspect they would turn us away for our large and in charge BMIs.

They do that? Wankers.

Related-ish to BMI, just last night, a group of women I know (locally) who are all in my size range decided to organize a clothing swap/lending scheme.

This is cool! I can almost never borrow clothes from people!

(Also, it wasn't until Dr. Horrible that I finally started liking him. Something about being willing to be a dork and sing even though he's not the world's best singer. [Although that didn't work on me for Felicia Day. She still makes me go MEH.])

Have you watched The Guild? Because, wow. I've totally got her picture up on the door of my mental locker.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Oh, I know! Sorry about that, I was trying to mock myself but I was in a rush. I have definitely pouted myself. They started doing the IP checks right as they were posting the old Last Chance to See audios online, and my reaction was "But, but, but... I know it makes sense, and yet: wah!"

I was mildly upset when my office stopped routing all our internet traffic through London because it meant we couldn't watch BBC iPlayer anymore. OTOH, we now have access to Hulu so I suppose it's a fair trade.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

There's still plenty I'm not happy about, and now things are only going to get worse with the mid-terms coming up and unrestricted corporate spending.

Yeah.

In a broad sense, I just think we're an empire in decline, and probably at this point further decline is inevitable.

hip deep in pie

I'm pretty sure owning property doesn't help with citizenship. Otherwise all y'all would come, buy up land and retire here for the health care.

Punishingly Intricate

It's the path of least resistance, what with the citizenship and all.

My fiance has a Canadian citizenship!

Okay, I got new glasses last month and at first they slid down my nose in an annoying way then I got them adjusted and then they started pinching the side of my head and so I just got them adjusted again and I feel like they are sliding down my nose again. I can't win at these glasses! And we are leaving for vacation tomorrow. WAH!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Can you get those pads, Lisa?

I just saw a really interesting job posting at Partners in Health -- that I'm totally not qualified for. Ah well.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Have you watched The Guild? Because, wow. I've totally got her picture up on the door of my mental locker.

And she's totally hot in her Codex costume. I'm looking forward to the comic. The covers look awesome. I'll actually be buying the single issues! To support them. Because I am Felicia Day's bitch.

Maybe that's what I need. Really I just want my old glasses back but they were not up for a new set of lenses.
