Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

People! Post more in more places! My brain is currently leaking out of my ears and it's cut down my ability to focus on any one thing more than five minutes.

For commercial broadcasters I think it's just a matter of getting local advertisers to pay for it (since NBC's American ad clients aren't going to pay for British viewers who may or may not be able to buy their products)

So British public==American ad clients. Or something.

Man, my head really hurts. I wish I could bail. But missing today is really not an option, and I don't think my painkiller prescription has been filled.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I really don't get why understanding certain things is so hard for some people. How many times do we have to have the same conversation??? Apparently one more time.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I liked that segment, and I did get the point of "the hard bigotry of high expectations" FWIW. Good observations.

I am sorry for your pain; however, reading that question on this board, in this thread, really cracked me up.

Heh. By "conversation" I mean "telling someone facts."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So British public==American ad clients. Or something.

In terms of Who Is Paying To Get This Show On The Air, yeah.

(Obviously oversimplified, but I don't want to make your headache worse.)
