It turns out that Krispy Kreme was just a fad in the States, too.
I got up ridiculously early this morning, so that I could walk to work and be here by 7:00.
I woke up early, which is good since for some reason, the alarm didn't go off.
Just back from dropping Flea at the airport.
Now I want Krispy Kreme. Which we do not have here. A local place makes a glazed donut called Glazers which are close. But you can't get them warm and fresh.

ETA: that was his answer when I asked him his favorite thing to do with his mom.
Krispy Kreme isn't a fad down here, it's a long and proud tradition. Also, microwaving a donut for about 10-15 seconds comes pretty close to recreating the deliciousness of fresh.

Rough night, was up every couple of hours. Still can't breathe through my nose. My throat is still sore. Haven't tried talking much.
I have plenty of work I can do from home, but I'm supposed to lead a conf call this afternoon. That is going to be interesting.
Oh, lordy. I was the first person in the office this morning. When I went to the break room fridge to stow my lunch, I saw that someone had left a plastic package of sushi there over the weekend. The rice looked gray. A world of eeeewwwwwwww, people.
Krispy Kreme donuts seem to be laced with crack. You can't stop eating them. And then they feel like a lead weight in your stomach.
