I want to torture you. I used to love it, and it's been a long time. I mean, the last time I tortured someone, they didn't even have chainsaws.

Oh msBelle. Wish I could help. I do have a story that probably is of little value, but I'll share on the off chance that it helps.

When I was little I went through a phase that is nowhere near what is going on, but was pretty bad. And one day my Mother sat me down and said: "Gar, I'll always love you no matter what you do. Even when I'm very very angry at you I still love you. But it hurts me to be angry at you all the time. And I'll bet its no picnic for you either. Is there any chance you can take a break from making me angry at you?"

Thanks for that, I said something very similar to him. I woke him up from his nap fearing that he won't sleep tonight, we've had a snack, read some, got the mail, and now he is doing some homework.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

That's a such a lovely approach, Gar.

OOF.

So, okay, I spent more than an hour filling a disability claim for Grace with Social Security and I'm nowhere near done. I did find out that the discharge papers never mention her respiratory meds because respiratory is charted differently. I wonder if that means that the genius who is her case manager never ordered the respiratory meds?

Sigh.

Do. not. love.

Anyhow, I got boxes of skinny clothes from the garage. So many cute short skirts and shorts. and some pants and dresses. I'm getting rid of over half my vintage stuff because I just don't feel it. Keeping some really 50s stuff the rest is on its way to goodwill.

But I'm thrilled to pad my wardrobe with the smaller clothes. In about 15 more lbs I should be able to wear everything I want to wear again.

I still need to go weed the yoga clothes next. Yay?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Do you have any vintage stuff you're discarding in my size, Kat? I don't need new clothes, but I crave them, and you have excellent taste. I also do have some clothes of yours still, if you want them back.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would like some new clothes I don't have to do anything to get!

So sorry to hear about the rough times for our mamas! I hope the bureaucracy and the boy both improve and make things easier for you both.

I just got off the phone with Mom--she had a garage sale, and the biggest hit was her dog! One woman just sat down at the edge of the sidewalk and played with Millie for fifteen minutes. Her friends asked if she wanted them to come back for her, and she was tempted. I told Mom there was a reason bulldogs are so popular in advertising; everyone thinks they're adorable.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I spent the day weeding through clothes as well. I have 4 big garbage bags of clothes to go to goodwill, plus about 20 or so pieces I am going to see if anyone wants before they go to goodwill, plus I did some AWESOME shopping in the guestroom closet.
