This week has been arduous. I feel like I'm in the prone position clinging to the weekend's ankles and begging it not to leave me.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, pandas, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
No cooking tonight. The kids are getting BK and DH & I are having take-out from the cheap sushi place. Yay! I just had a much needed shower too. I am in one of my happy places.
eep. Sorry to hear that shrift. Didn't mean to gloat.
Pictures of Lucky and bath are up on my facebook page, if anyone is interested.
I will link them here when I get home. I can't from the phone.
He's adorable. Daisy, want me to link for you?
My first honorary niece celebrates her 10th this weekend. HOW?!
They had a sale on eggs at Safeway, buy one 18 egg carton for $3.49 and get a second one free. Basically ten cents an egg.
OMG, is that some kind of San Francisco thing? I only ask because years ago, I was visiting a friend out there, and she had 36 eggs in the fridge for the same reason! I made some awesome devilled eggs that weekend. With a variety of flavors.
Anyway, in my awesome Friday news, I just remembered that I told myself that if I got a job before the end of the month, I would buy this 4-pack of services at this spa I've been to for $200. Fifty bucks a massage! And I have a year to use them. AWESOME.
Lucky is a cutie petunia!!!
That's a pretty good deal. My Y offers 50 minute ones for $60, and you figure that is subsidized somehow. Disclaimer: I've never had a massage, so don't know what is reasonable!
Usually they're at least $100 at a decent place. This place is just OK, but usually they are $95 for an hour. This is $50 for 50 minutes, which I feel fine about.
Anything less than a dollar a minute is a deal. Usually I'm comfortable with 60 - 70 for an hour, up to say 110 for 90 minutes. (And the extra thirty mins is so worth it.)
Lucky! A couple of weeks ago there were dogs on the highway in Chicago like three days in a row. The last day it was this dog running on and off the Eisenhower for hours. The traffic copter had pretty much given up caring about traffic to just follow the dog. Then I had to leave for a flight and didn't find out what happened.
A week or so later they did an update. He's okay! And in foster care. And the named him Eiserhower. And I was all "I could call him Ike!"
And then I came back to sanity and realized I don't have the time or space for a dog that size with that energy, and I've lived with runner dogs before and I can't take it.
But it has made me decide that once I get back from Mexico I'm dog hunting.
This place is just OK, but usually they are $95 for an hour.
Hah, yeah no way. I guess what you save on mani-pedis on the east coast you pay in massage.
