I can't watch/be around Daddy/daughter stuff.

Oh man. How weird is it that I would read this thread when I'm essentially smashed.

Um. Having lived what I have, I can't imagine anyone enjoying such 'play', but you know what? I'd rather consulting adults work it out amongst themselves, rather than turning that need on children...you know?

Whatever we repress, comes to the party in a different dress.

As a culture, we could go a lot farther with opportunity to work needs/preferences out without involving innocents. So, yeah. Yay for the kink community.

Um. I guess I should not have taken that birthday bottle of wine over to friend's house. I'm way, way too...whatever I become when I drink way too much. Ugh.

I have so much to do tomorrow, but sadly, alcohol does not make me sleep. Quite the opposite. Ergh. Bad plan.

Drinking warm milk would probably just make me pukey. What else can aI do to soak up the alcohol. Protein? Must research.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Sucktastic day ended really well. My doorbell rang about 30 minutes ago and some friends delivered a card and flowers. Woot for friends!

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

For all the problems CJ has had with Algebra this year, necessitating him to repeat it next year, he blew away a recent math aptitude test.

Theresa, your friends ROCK. They know your true value.

Man, I need to drag myself out of the house and go dress shopping this weekend. Not only do I have a wedding to go to, I could use more clothes to wear to the sales conference in San Francisco next month.

I really need to find a way to do big jigsaw puzzles, even in this house of Flat Surfaces Need Things Put on Them. I could get a puzzle caddy, but then there's no place to set out the puzzle caddy to work on it. I do so adore working on jigsaw puzzles while watching TV or listening to music, it's like a chemical-free brain trip, because the conscious mind is locked on the very structured puzzle working, and the rest of my mind is going where the sound is leading it.

My beloved surrogate mom is a HUGE puzzle champion. Every gift giving holiday features dozens of new entries into the 'can she do it?' puzzle sweepstakes.

One of her sons made a custom tabletop, with lip, for her card table. It's made of slick whiteboard material, bordered by a simple molding. It's light-weight and easy to move around. Super efficient.

There is a giant table on the patio, and now that summer's here I can monopolize that occasionally.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Connie, if you have large flat surfaces free already and just need a way to protect a partially-finished puzzle while you're away from it, can you get a large piece of acrylic to fit on top of the surface and cover it? I've been thinking that I'd love to get back to doing puzzles (which I haven't done since I got my cat back in 2004), and thought about that solution.

Of course, that wouldn't help with the question of what to do with the pieces while I'm working on it and the cat is sitting in the middle of the puzzle, knocking pieces onto the floor...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I keep waking up before my alarm. Which I guess is a good thing overall, but I could have used that extra half-hour of sleep this morning! Ah well....

I have a lot of little things to get done this weekend, but I'm doing a volunteer project Saturday afternoon, and that's usually when I get everything done. Will I be motivated to get out of the house in the morning? Only time will tell!
