Spike: We got a history, him and me. Fred: What? Spike: It was a long time ago. He was a young Watcher, fresh out of the academy when we crossed paths. It was a, what-you-call battle of wills and blood was spilled. Vendettas were sworn. It was a whole-- Fred: My God you're so full of crap. Spike: Yeah. Okay.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

This is the most exciting baseball series I've seen all season! Sorry, javachik.

“Not dead yet!”

OMG, y'all-- local farmer's market opened today. There are going to be more vendors as the season progresses, but so far, I'm more than pleased. Local dairies, lots of produce vendors, and just overall fabulous atmosphere. Plus bonus-- it's in the parking lot of the bookstore, so we get bookstore visit as well.

Two purchases of note, a raspberry vinegar that is delicious and a white chocolate key lime sauce that is just too decadent. Oh, and some gorgeous potatoes.

I think I need to make a lemon blueberry bundt cake to serve the sauce over. Perhaps I should make dinner for friends so I can make a lemon blueberry bundt cake.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

If the smoothie is made from whole fruit, you should get virtually all the value.

Re my post from earlier - snce I'm not a big fruit eater, pulpy juices appeal when I have that taste for something fruity. I know they're not remotely nutritionally the same. I did think that, sodium concerns aside, and they do have a low-sod version, V-8 was more nutritionally sound. (Though if I'm wanting veg, it doesn't cure the craving at all. So I guess it's actually completely opposite, disregarding everything I said before.)

Who was it who was looking for the McCormick spice jars with the green lids? We got rid of most of that stuff when my dad sold the house, but I found one straggler this morning and snagged it.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I picked up some lavender honey and something called honey caramel (made from orange blossom honey) because the samples were freaking delicious at the Mother's Day Artisan Fair. Don't know what to do with them, but I do know that eating with a spoon is an option.

Forgot to ask mom about her the spice jars! She refills them, so I can't just steal them, at least not without leaving piles of spices in her kitchen. I think she'd notice that.

Cool, thanks. Maybe I'll wait to send until the move so it's not one more thing to pack.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I don't think I'm going to find much good stuff at our farmers market until mid-June. There is a great baker that sells there. Last week I got a loaf of Lemon Mint White Chocolate bread. It was nummy. I resisted this week though. So far there is only one produce vendor.

My kids have been wonderful today. Kelly is sad she can't be here, but I'll see her in about 17 days. CJ has been as comforting as a 13 year old boy can be. I've just been a weepy mess all day.

I bought stuff to make a stir fry for dinner, but I'm really thinking about just ordering Thai. And I'll probably change my mind again in 10 minutes.
