When I was a kid I read a short story about a man who makes a bet that he can escape from some very secure prison. So somehow he gets placed in this prison, where he proceeds to create some clever means of escape.
The author was well-known in his day, and he died on the Titanic. Does that rig any bells? I could google but I'm feeling lazy.

I'm suddenly amused by the idea of google being the verb ang bing being the sound effect of search.
They keep shooting monitors, not computers in this movie, and the magazines of the handguns barely hold any bullets. Also, Gerard is too clothed.
