Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would like a pumpkin muffin, please.

I am finishing a bottle of wine that is past its prime. Ah well.

For the record, the guy making fun of Buffy fans in this movie is a huge sci-fi geek, and is just doing that "Yeah, but I'm not like those people" thing. Then he promotes female sci-fi authors. And is played by Hugh Dancy. In short, all is forgiven.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

How on earth does pet hair get on TOP of the china cabinet? And I don't understand how two cats and a dog can shed enough hair to create a new animal daily.

(Why yes, I am tired of swiffering and still finding fur bunnies rambling across the wood floor.)

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

JZ, Deb and Allyson are Skyping away about Allyson's book so I can hear all their voices. Allyson's got such a great radio voice. Just a really warm alto. Very appealing.

Back from baseball. Our team won (again - we're having a good season). Emmett threw somebody out at second again (it's kind of a big deal on the new fields which are major league size).

I learned recently that one of Emmett's teammates (Krishen) lost his mother last year to cancer. He's such a nice kid. Anyway, he pitched great for us today.

Tomorrow's a busy day. Emmett's got a doubleheader with the tournament team (The Aces, or occasionally The Redlegs [a sock reference]). Plus JZ's church, checking in on EM (still pretty loopy from the drugs post surgery) and JZ's brother and fiancee are in town. Later we go to JZ's Dad's for dinner with the visiting sib. So basically we roll out of here at 8:15am and come back at 9:15pm. That's a long time away from home base.

I just picked up Kelly's wedding dress that we bought a month ago. It will hang out here until it is time for alterations, about a year from now. I'm home alone and weepy.

(Why yes, I am tired of swiffering and still finding fur bunnies rambling across the wood floor.)

Sing it. Just spent 2 hours vacuuming and mopping all the floors and just saw a tussle-born wad of fluff settle on the tv. Sigh. Of course, on top of that, there is dust everywhere. I refuse to dust until a) it gets unbearable or b) closed-window season resumes.

WInd was and is insane today. I actually lowered the windows to 3 inches because there was a crazy windtunnel effect happening through the house. It shouldn't be that windy in my bedrooms.

Devi and Loki didn't even want to be out on the deck, it was that bad.
