Jessica, you have any interest in a beach umbrella?
No thanks - we already have a beach tent.
[The beach stuff I'm shopping for now is to replace everything Dylan outgrew last summer. New life jacket, swim diapers, etc. Also goggles so he can learn to put his head in the water.]
Having spent years 2-4 of parenting in a summer only climate, I am sort of shocked at how much new stuff you have to buy all the time. Yes, I used to have to buy new suits but we used them non-stop so I guess I didn't notice. And now both my kids have outgrown the pants I bought them last August but I don't see much point in buying more when it is almost summer. (Plus, Ellie is too skinny to really fit in anything long enough for her legs.)
I'm downtown, put more money on my bus pass, shopped at Ol Navy, wished I realized the clearance stuff was an extra 50percent off cause I wouldve looked harder, but probably just as well. Now I'm grabbing food before a matinee. Then later to the drugstore and possibly library.
I completely don't have the right boots for the jacket I wanted to wear. This is serious. Could affect apocalypse-readiness.
Crap. Now Top Gun is on TV.
Jesse, step away from the tv and get out into the beautiful day!!!
It's not beautiful! It's rainy and chilly!
TELL GOOSE TO DUCK!
Aw, Goose.
Shoe shopping was a bust. But at least the pool is again open (wasn't earlier, and was contemplating driving to the Towson Y..) I pretty much hate all the shoes out there now. I may have to zappos, but that's such a mess for me.
OK, off to swim.
