Isn't a bombe with ice cream in it? That would be suboptimal for traveling...

Back from the market. Now..yard work. I may cuddle with Loki first.

Timelies all!
Michael is now contemplating explosive pies.
"Not baked goods, professor; baked BADS!" (The Tick vs. The Breadmaster.)
Operation use stuff up continues - last night finished off some olive oil (there is still more), a bottle of vitamins (there is still more), today I made coffee at home instead of buying out, I have rice on the stove now, and the plan is to bake pumpkin muffins and choc chip cookies, also cook up a green bean and pea casserole, some beans, and some fish from the freezer. Should probably also make another round of slaw.
The freezer is getting pretty empty. I need to make banana muffins next week and then it will be only about 1/4 full.
I need to buy some chicken from the store so I can use up some more marinades (who knew I had so many). I found some crisco, I guess I should use that instead of butter in some of my baking, I can use the butter on toast and veggies and so many more ways.
sorry to kill the thread with my ocd.
I have to share this - mac and his friend are playing with legos and figures, they have made up a story with good guys and bad guys are making decisions on how the story develops, not always agreeing, but working it out - they are having dialogue and multiple players - they have been at for over 30 minutes. I know that sounds like normal kid play, but mac has been unable to sustain play like this on his own with a peer until very recently. For example, when we play, I often have to supply all the dialogue and mac will just make sound effects or observe. Other times, he will get into a fight with a playmate with 5-10 minutes if there is any disagreement on how the story develops.
and yes, I am tearing up.
And not one 'on the rocks' joke? It's like they're not even trying.
awwwwwww--go Mac and msbelle!
Thanks Zenkitty. Now my daughter wants a set of Bronte dolls of her own! I had to break it to her that they don't really sell the dolls, but that she could still read the books.
