I walk. I talk. I shop, I sneeze. I'm gonna be a fireman when the floods roll back. There's trees in the desert since you moved out. And I don't sleep on a bed of bones.

I didn't ride my first roller coaster until I was in junior high, even though we had lots of access to them. I just thought I was afraid of them, but once I tried it, I loved it!

Happy birthday, Glamcookie!!

Fie on those faux-buyers, Corwood!!

Good luck, Theo!!

Thanks for that link to the article on violence vocab--I love the word "fobbit."

Oh, and if I was a boy, my name would have been Daniel, my sister's would have been Keith, and my brother's (if he were a girl) would have been Kimber Leigh (my mom was 21 and thought that sounded soooo cool).

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Belated Good luck thoughts for Theodosia! I hope it is going well.

Corwood, that woman is clearly Tino's surprise twin. I hope you find someone better, very soon.

I also hope Bob and msbelle find sellers soon!

Happy Birthday, GC!

I have never been on a roller coaster, never will. The bus gives me motion sickness.

Emotional roller coasters are a whole other story.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Weekend - maybe working late tonight, coffee with a new friend on Saturday and then a matinee of Iron Man 2. Sunday I'll be taking the pup to my parents for Mother's Day/my mom's birthday - they insisted I bring him. Also, I need to cull belly dance stuff for a yard sale, and do a resume/cover letter.

Nope, not busy at all.

Coding and Sleeping

We've got soccer games all Saturday morning. Then the kids are gone, E is off with my parents, and L is going to a sleep-over party (11 boys, Yikes). My wife and I will probably go to the local botanical gardens. I'm also going to try to get in some good editing at some point Saturday or Sunday.

I'm taking another half-day off this afternoon so I can get new tires on my car, then I'm heading home to work on cleaning out my drawers and closets this weekend. Definitely overdue for some serious clothes weeding.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My parents made my name up after my birth. They had no boy choices. Just an alternate girl choice. Which I'm reasonably glad I escaped. If being ita was sometimes hard, being Aliki would have been a minefield.

My sister also didn't have a boy's alternate, I don't think. Just another girl's name--Philippa--which is worlds more conventional than her actual name. She also got half a name, but she got the recognisable half in a culture far away from here.

What are people doing this weekend?

I am seeing Iron Man 2. Two movies in, what, three weeks? CRAZY.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have no weekend plans other than Mother's Day with the fam. I should be out and about today, since it's nice out, but I think it's going to be don't-leave-the-apartment day, which means errands tomorrow in the rain. Ah well.
