Giles, if you would like to get by in American society, then you are going to have to follow our traditions. You're the patriarch. You have to host the festivities, or it's all meaningless.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Oh, motherfucker, why did I check my work e-mail at 10:30? And why are people stupid? No, you may not have the old acronym back. I don't care if you like it better. It is not used any more. I am not going back through the 80-page document to reverse the CORRECT changes that I made.

P.S. I hate you.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Heathers! I have not seen that recently enough.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

that annoying man who spawned with Witherspoon.

Ryan Philipppppppppe? He's so PRETTY in that movie! (Uh, I guess in addition to having a weakness for fucked-up rich kids, I have a weakness for self-entitled asshole guys. But I stopped dating them, so I should at least get to watch them in movies!)

Better party unity

"Better" implies that the Dems have *any,* which I don't believe they do. They disgust me.

And -- I haven't really said this to anyone yet -- I wouldn't be sad if the current version of healthcare reform was nuked from orbit. I don't think it's going to do any good for anyone.

The silver lining is, there is no longer any reason for Democrats to play nice with Joe Lieberman.

And: Heathers.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have a weakness for self-entitled asshole guys.

Yeah, but bon likes the really crazy ones.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You guys! I cooked salmon! I made a modified version of this recipe using honey mustard dressing and no cranberries and not the MOST appropriate greens but still.

The honey mustard sort of turned into a film or something; I don't know whether that was what I was going for or not. It sure did coat those walnuts, though. And I had the heat too high when I put the salmon on so the bottom skin was burnt. The other side looked like fish, though.

And I did not realize that couscous puffed up to like THREE MILLION TIMES ITS SIZE so I made twice as much as I needed to.

But otherwise, my fish tasted like fish and there was some honey mustard action in there, and it was like a real meal!

I am skimming over politics because it makes my tummy hurt. I hate tummy hurtage.

Instead, to ease the pain, I offer you the info that H&M's Lookbook includes manskirts. I SAY Bring on the men in skirts this year!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

"Better" implies that the Dems have *any,* which I don't believe they do. They disgust me.

They don't have any because they morphed into the big tent party at some point. It's harder to herd cats to agreement on a yes than it is on a no, anyhow.

I would be sad if the current version of healthcare was nuked. Every single time it goes down, the next thing you get is worse. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I'm basically feeling, if it doesn't happen now, it doesn't happen. Period.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Right now, either Heathers or Bring It On. Or flip back and forth.

OMG y'all. In the process of decluttering something else, I found some jewelry that had been missing - the ring my parents gave me when I graduated HS instead of a class ring, and a gold necklace I bought last year. Words cannot express my relief. I feared they were at KBD's or otherwise gone forever. And now I can wear them next weekend in LA!

I'm not a fan either, Obama throwing his support to a bill that really goes back on some of his promises, the public option and no individual mandates at the very least.

I'll go with Breakfast Club and sneak out of the thread with my political baggage.
