I'm sorry you failed to connect this time, but honestly, the fact that you both got told the same thing by the greeter within a mutually acceptable 6-minute window *and remembered the exact times to compare notes* sounds to me like (a) good reason to pick another place next time and (b) a potential future funny story.
Oh, and (c) shitty-assed cell service.
I have to fall on the side of "try to meet up again".
I once almost missed a date because rather than show up at the front of the theater at a given time like we'd agreed, he was waiting in his car out in the parking lot expecting to be notified of my arrival via text. (Which would have been fine if we'd actually discussed doing that, but I'm not a mind reader.)
Dude, your phone is totally trying to cockblock you. That ain't right.
Suddenly I understand why they call it "Virgin Mobile."
Yeah, maybe next week.
Cool. This was like the dress rehearsal where things go wrong, then.
Suddenly I understand why they call it "Virgin Mobile."
Bwah!
Ah, I hope you can give it another chance, tommy. How irritating. I probably would have bailed on someone I hadn't met in 15 minutes. But that doesn't mean go-round #2 couldn't work.
Bwah!
It's so funny that if I
didn't
have Virgin Mobile,
I would have said I did....
Oh hey, and I saw the preview today for the movie that must have inspired that "no human-animal hybrids" bill. It was creepy, and made a good case for it being a bad idea! As far as a trailer can make a case....
Heh.
I've clicked with people within an hour, but it is usually friendship. Or rather, always friendship (the more complicated stuff I totally miss.) It's a hello, I am comfortable with you and want to keep talking. I guess I interpret them the same, which is why when it gets... complicated... I am always whoah, what? How'd I get here? I have friendship click and no other nuance.
And when that happens, I usually flee. Which is why I am single. And not unhappy about it.
oh man. I'm just home from work. Which I've been at for over 12+ hours. (Day started with me giving bagels to my AP Lit kids who had a test today).
My school blocked buffistas (and facebook! and livejournal and flickr).
I miss you people. Tons.
FTR, I
t heart
sara!
Also, I'm watching Parenthood and kinda loving it as usual.
