So, Sunday is Mother's Day, and if I'm going to send something to my mother it sort of needs to be ASAP. I am plumb out of ideas right now, though. Help?
Is she the kind of person who would like flowers? I've defaulted to cut roses the past few years, and my mom was just thrilled with them. Though this year I got her house slippers with gnomes on them.

I think my mother would go straight to "You're calling me an old bat?" if I adopted a bat.
The thing about flowers is, her husband will probably do flowers; he's very reliable that way. And my sister is taking her out to brunch.
That reminds me that I have a Groupon for roses -- I should get those for my mother and grandmother. I wonder if they'd give me the deal, but split them into two bouquets with other stuff.

I sent my mom tulips, and Dan's mom daisies. I am also going to my mom's house Friday to help her organize her bedroom for Mother's Day.
She has some lovely furniture, but her bedroom is the land of shoes and book piles (heh, I know where my sis and I got THAT!) so I offered to organize it.
