We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Oh, ita. I keep hoping for a magic bullet.

I like the original best, Barb. It's the Tasmanian Devil. Of course she laughed.

Because books.

It comes down to which you like best, Barb. You're the author. Change it back if you don't like her edit.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I like the proposed alternative, fwtw.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm sorry, ita.

ION, I usually like hearing about athletes who are vegan, because it gives me people to list when people tell me that I can't get enough protein and my muscles with all wither. (I finally convinced my dad that veganism could be healthy when I pointed out several vegan baseball players.) I'm not so sure how I feel about Mike Tyson becoming vegan, though. [link]

“Not dead yet!”

You're right, you're right, I know you're right, but I just want to make it as good as possible, you know?

And no, I have no idea why this copyedit is making me so crazy. I wonder if it's not because I already did so many revisions, that it's the little stuff that's really standing out and making me nuts.

Trust my rage

I feel like i have no business giving an author writing advice, but that has never stopped me. Anyway, I like the original the best except for the use of "as" twice in the sentence the Copy editor was messing with.

Coding and Sleeping

For what it's worth, the CE suggestion is probably my favorite. The alternative, to me, seems to repeat the idea of the self-awareness in the sentence, "But something about . . ."

Yeah, that was a sentence that I probably fooled with many, many, many times Stephanie, hence the repetitiveness.

The alternative, to me, seems to repeat the idea of the self-awareness

Good catch, Gud.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Aww, too bad ita. I wish I could do more than wish.

In my irritating work news of the day, both the boys are sick. So I gave them the day off. I headed over to the storage unit to dump off the instruments I`d taken out of the music store attic. But the storage unit yard was locked with a new combination lock and the office was closed with a sign on the door.

So, fine. I head to the coffee shop to do some work and kill some time I have a nice Americano and a gyro. But no wifi. So no work. Instead I edit an icon.

I get to the school about an hour early since I`m on my own and set up the keyboards for the first class. Then I slounge around for a while because I haven`t seen the late class kids yet so I dunno if they`re coming. Finally I see them so I set up the drum kit. Clumsily, because the SO usually does this bit and I`m missing a few key pieces. Also I think maybe the floor or the world is slanted.

So fine, I had to scramble but I`m ready. And now? I am sitting here by myself as the third of four classes fails to show up. Which means I have to sit here through dinner to see if the fourth class shows. FAIL!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ok, bitching about it worked because the third class showed up, just late. So now to tear down the keyboards for fourth class.
