I'm so sorry, but if it makes you feel any better, my fun-time-Buffy party night involved watching a robot throw Spike through a window, so if you want to trade... no wait, I wouldn't give up that memory for anything.

Now that I remember, I did keep job-hunting after I got hired for my first real job.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

The only reason I have about a year's living expenses in my savings is because my Dad had several life insurance policies when he died last year. And I was damn lucky I was in a position to sock it away. If I'd had medical bills or any of the many things that can hit one upside the wallet, that would be gone, too.

that is while still sitting on thousands in cc debt.

We have some of that too (not happy about how that happened). The minimum payments aren't much of a ding, but we're trying to get rid of it in 1-2 years not 20, so that's another big chunk.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

First World Problem Ahoy! I'm finding I care more and more about trying to eat sustainable fish and I really want sushi for lunch but it's impossible to figure out what to order! The Monterey Bay Aquarium guide is sort of helpful but not when it comes to ordering off the takeout menu of the nearest to work sushi place! They don't have information about things being farmed or line caught or whatever. I could just get veggie items but, dag, I really want fish!

Environmental Defense Fund Sushi Selector:

Oh, yes, that's basically same as the Monterey Bay Aquarium chart. The problem is that the same kind of fish may be okay if it's raised or caught one way but not if it's raised or caught another (like the tuna or salmon). That info isn't on the menu.
