"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Nice that she was so invested though.

My problem is that so many are meant to push together instead of spererate. I blame VS.

I fear hubby and I are going to fight about immigration tonight. I don't thinks he pays as much attention and looks at things as in-depth as I do. He has a general bad habit (I think) of listening to sound bites on NPR and then talking over the rest of the story.

Kelly recently introduced me to Soma Intimates. They are owned by Chico, who also owns White House/Black Market. Anyway, I bought a couple of bras there a few weeks ago and I've been very pleased with them. The sales staff where very helpful in advising on sizing and models. The prices were pretty reasonable too, even before Kelly used her 40% discount. DJ, the bras I got separate instead of squish.

Soma doesn't have my size, but they are very nice!

I'm apparently a 34G, and I need squish, not separate, because that's the lay of the land. But anything that lies over the top fails, because that's where the volume is at. And I'm not pointy in any stretch of the imagination. Basically, I am apparently the bramaker's blindspot. Sucks. Was so much easier when I weighed more.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My sister grew into her large breasts very young and has a big complex about them. She's obsessive about finding pretty bras. I don't consider myself large-breasted, but I have a small rib cage so I can be hard to fit, and the best fitting bras are pretty nursing-attractive. But my sister surprises me and hooks me up with some pretty stuff every now and again. I'm not sure how she does it, when I can't find the right size and I'm right there to try stuff on.

Also hard to dress them, because they like to try and escape their bonds. so only certain styles only.

But they are comfortable.

Bummer, Sara. I was doubtful I would find my size at Soma. The first time I was in there I looked at what was on the racks (hah!) and didn't see my size. I also didn't ask anyone. When I went back with Kelly I discovered that they keep some of the less requested stock in the back and you have to ask - but they were great about letting me know my options.

Oh, the Soma people were very nice (though I still can't get over the name) but yeah, I am not their market.

I've had bra issues since I was 12. Usually managed something. But now, at nearly 35, to have a complete and utter failure? After losing so much weight and getting into a shape I like? Complete fuck you, with sauce.

I'm getting the pig!

Suzi, do they carry Soma locally? I think I've seen one of their stores close to my house. Hmmm.

Oh! I lucked out Thursday night and the hotel pool was empty so I swam for about an hour. Not continuously, mind you, but I wore myself out considerably.

Now I think I'm ready to sign up for the 24 Hour gym in order to use their pool. I figure if I get up when DH does (3am) during the week, I can be in the pool by 3:30 or so and home to start getting ready for work by 5am.

sara, have you ever thought of getting a reduction? I mean, it's not just reducing them but also reshaping them. You could tell the doctor what issues you're having and he or she can tell you what they can "fix".

I wish I'd spoken up more when I had it done. I'm still VERY glad I had it done but I should've been more vocal. Hindsight, and all that.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I'm with scrappy - hate 'em and avoid 'em as much as possible . My 'meat' is all towards the outside. Everything feels squished by the end of the day

I did not accomplish anything today . Musicfest in town to celebrate our new plaza

I'll be doing the same thing tomorrow

Sara, Nordstrom is not the be-all and end-all! There are other bra stores! Be strong!
