Coding and Sleeping

E had a make-up soccer game last evening. Like most of the games this season she didn't really go after the ball, and often sort of stood and watched. Unfortunately this is the last season she'll be young enough for the recreational leagues. If she wants to keep playing she'll have to join a competitive team. I think we'll have to have a talk about needing to play harder if she wants to keep doing this. I can't see sitting at the end of a bench being fun or good for her.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Not sure if I'd want to see the movie described in this xkcd: Outbreak

I'd like to see that movie!

Quick question: Prof. Juan Silva-Martinez. Someone has referred to him as Prof. Martinez. Is that wrong, or okay?

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

That's not quite a "meet cute."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's not quite a "meet cute."

It's my kind of meet cute.

I cannot find my security badge this morning.

Grr.

On the up side, it's boots day (juliana Caterpillars, denim blue lace-up work-style almost to the knee). So that's something. Now to move my car out of the paid parking and buy myself some breakfast.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Someone has referred to him as Prof. Martinez. Is that wrong, or okay?

I don't think it's right, but it might also be a mistake that he's used to.

So, is today over yet? How about now?

Now?

Librarian Warlord

My nephew has decided to go to college at ETSU and follow his Bluegrass music dream. I don't suppose anyone here is anywhere near Johnson City, TN?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Growing up in Maryland I was raised to say AppaLAYshun, but a friend of mine in college who grew up in Tennessee convinced me it was AppaLATCHen and I've never been able to go back.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, is today over yet? How about now?

Somewhere, in an alternate reality where we are all good people. But in this reality, we're bad people and are being punished.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Not over yet. I've done quite a bit of work though, so maybe it should be.

Thanks, Dana. I decided to change it and err on the side of caution.
