Jayne: That's a good idea. Good idea. Tell us where the stuff's at so I can shoot you. Mal: Point of interest? Offering to shoot us might not work so well as an incentive as you might imagine.

Oh, so timezones jump to my rescue? How lovely and timely and appropriate.

It's good to read that he's enjoying child care so much!

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Am I really here "with" two of my favorite people I don't "see" nearly enough?

Tell us quick before you vanish again, Nilly, how are you? How's married life? Your new (since the wedding, so not THAT new) home?

Art Crawl!!!

I hadn't even realized that I had been spelling the word that indicates one who travels in the British fashion 'til reading it here.

Huh. I wonder where I got that from.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Am I really here "with" two of my favorite people I don't "see" nearly enough?

"Yes"!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Happy Brthday Cutie Baby Ryan!

I just realized in all my day planning that I did not leave myself one second of time in which to eat until I get to the party. I hope the bowling alley has food!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Happy Birthday Ryan!

In a bit I will shower, dress and head to the Metro to go to Malice.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'll second the curiosity, Nilly! And happy wishes to Ryan and his parents!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. In honour of Ryan's birthday, I've decided that I'm going to rewatch the entire series of David Attenborough's Life of Mammals. Because it was the birth of a mammal, and I was there.

Just finished on the echidna (the first featured mammal in the series, as is right and proper). One fun fact: platypuses have tens of thousands of electroreceptors in its bill. It lets them detect living creatures underwater by the minute electrical currents they give off. Sharks, and some other animals, do this too. But there are only two mammals that have this additional sense - the platypus, and its relative the echidna. The echidna has far fewer receptors in its nose - it hunts on land, where electrical currents travel more poorly. But its nose is more or less continuously runny, which improves reception. It gives the echidna an edge when rootling for ants in the soil.

If it's good enough for the Tick, it's good enough for me.
