I'm sorry, dad. You know I would never have tried to save River's life if I had known there was a dinner party at risk.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

That drives my brother crazy "I am not babysitting, I am PARENTING MY CHILD!!!"

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I swear to god.

I tell you what, the end of this week cannot come soon enough. Please let my next job not involve learning how to do other people's jobs because they are too lazy to do it.

I would clearly have to kill that man.

I had a really fast PO experie4nce. No line AT ALL! At 1pm! This may be the miracle PO. More people were using the APCs than the windows.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

This is one of the reasons I like working from home. I don't get all ragey over co-worker's crap.

And now that I'm thinking about the dentist, I can feel my anxiety climbing. Blech. This is to reshape the tooth, where the crown had come off, so I can get a newer better crown.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

He just said something else about how hard it is juggling the kids different schedules and it means he won't get any golf time. Yes, that is called being a parent. An involved parent. Get over it.

You know, that makes my blood boil. If you didn't want to take any time to be a parent then maybe you shouldn't have become one. Someone once told me that I was very lucky to have such an involved parent in Joe. And while I do feel that way, part of me got resentful about it. Why am I lucky because he's doing what he SHOULD be doing when it comes to his own child??

I kinda can't believe that I cannot get DSL or Cable earthlink internet at my new house. I have had earthlink since forever at a million different addresses. But no. So I might just switch over to gmail now in order to not potentially miss emails. This will give me two months to get emails from places that I have that other address registered, right?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

National Day of Prayer ruled unconstitutional.

Sorry, Tep's boss!

Hey, I love getting that extra random day off! It's next week, actually. Woot!

There's nothing unconstitutional about an employer giving employees a day off and calling it Prayer Day.

theoretically. I say that because I moved over a year ago and am still finding that some places are still clinging to old email addresses. Even though I'm sure I notified them of the change way back when!

Keep breathing!

Quick catch-up:

Hugs to all who still need them.

Kudos to the grade-getting, house-getting, interview-getting and healthier-getting among us.

AZ law: not a great idea, but somebody's gotta do something and the feds aren't doing it. Build the wall! It worked to keep terrorists out of Israel.

Seriously, any country has to be able to define its borders and its citizens. If you can't do that, you're going to lose your country in one way or another (militarily, economically, culturally, whatever - and culture does not necessarily equal white here, I mean this in general terms). I do worry about terrorists coming across the border one day. It does bother me that some people work and wait to get citizenship and others come in illegally. I do see the strain on public services and local budgets from illegals.

This is one of those things with too many parts to fix easily - I think the kid who was carried over the border at age 2 has lived here his whole life should be able to go to college - but you have to start somewhere and AZ is at least willing to try. So I'm hoping the public debate will be about what to do and not about how "racist" people are...

National Day of Prayer:

I've never liked the national day of prayer because it's the President asking people to pray in an official capacity.

Ah! I missed that part. That I do take issue with. But if it were "just a holiday", I wouldn't have much issue with it.

So which is Thanksgiving? Other presidents have called Americans to worship and give thanks on that day in more recent times too (early 20th c).

And fathers? They don't babysit their kids. They parent their kids. Guys who don't get that really irk me.
