I know some people don't like the taste of whole grain pasta, and generally I'm against people eating things they dislike. But I like the flavor and I find it fills me up and keeps me from overeating other stuff. (I like the flavor with spicy or strong flavors. If I'm just going to do olive oil and garlic on pasta, or lemon and pine nuts or something on those lines I use regular pasta and get my health benefits somewhere else.
This. I find the nuttiness works really well with things like beef stroganoff, but for lighter pasta dishes I'll stick with the regular.
Skipping in the middle of all the mess (tonight there's the ending ceremony of my big "Girls in Science" project, so maybe, hopefully, if I wish really hard, I may have some less-crazy-schedule by next week!) because according to Kat "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Apr 26, 2005 9:57:12 pm PDT today is Isaac's birthday.
Happy birthday, big boy! With lots of wishes to your older sister, your mom, and all your family!
grey gronk-filled day.
need food and more coffee.
do not want work.
This morning sucked. Literally.
I live across the street from a car wash. One of those ones with a zillion "self-serve" vacuums. It doesn't happen often, but they do have to empty those vacuums and it isn't as simple as tossing a vacuum bag. Oh, no. They have big tank trucks come in and vacuum out the vacuums. Noisily. At 6:00 am. SUCKS.
I think I'm going to be working from home, if I can figure out stuff I can do. Frankie didn't eat anything this morning except for grass, and I just want to keep an eye on him.
have oatmeal. am consuming.
smonster, have you been able to get hold of a vet this morning and ask their opinion?
And I'm having all sorts of smite-y Bad killrage Thoughts over the asshats who littered in your hood.
It's the last week of my contract, and I have at most a couple of hours of work to do. And two hours of meetings. I'm trying to decide if I should do a daytime movie this week, or save it for next week.... Or both!
And I'm having all sorts of smite-y Bad killrage Thoughts over the asshats who littered in your hood.
Littering of any kind makes me see red anyway, but now that I'm a dog owner I'm having Madeleine Kahn "Flames... flames on the side of my face" moments. And it's a matter of constant vigilance, as littering chicken bones is common. Maybe it'll decrease some now that the KFC two blocks away has closed.
I'll probably call the vet once I get home and see how he's doing.
