Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

They've decoded the Antikythera mechanism.

Cool!

I haven't had a chance to watch these videos yet, but I bet Teppy will like at least one of them: Morgan Spurlock Presents Mr. Plow Remixes by Moby In Honor of The Simpsons 20th Anniversary

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I've never had to power on my computer at security. Of course, I've forgotten to take out my quart bag multiple times and not been called on it either.

Given the imminence of complete body scans, I wonder if people would still be up in arms at the idea of a national ID.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I haven't taken my quart bag out of my carryon in yonks. Maybe it's just the shuttle, or else they can see that it's fine through the X-ray.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

They are being stricter about taking the liquids out since Christmas, at least for the flights I took.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

You fill from the tap on the other side?

Yes. But I have no tap water aversion because I am a subtaster. I love tap water and drink it from everywhere. However, I am not to be trusted on the subject because I also will happily eat sheep's intestines. I suppose if I'm carrying an empty bottle anyway, I could carry a fancier one with a filter, if I were fussed about it.

Special K:

I am still up in arms about a national id, and I am also up in arms about the nekkid body scan. I am up in arms about a lot of things, but sort of languidly.
