I'm still traumatized about how much it cost to have long-distance movers. Never again!

I never doubt that all my movers have been worth the time and money.

What's the alternative? I mean, other than not moving long-distance, which, duh. Never not an alternative.
Oh yeah, I assume my next long-distance move is far enough in my future that I don't have to think about it. If ever.
It was less than 2 years ago and I don't recall what I tipped my movers. I know they were VERY appreciative of the flat of water I had for them.
We moved long-distance NJ to WY, and then WY to PA a year later. I have control issues so it was a little hard for me when they were all TOUCHING MY STUFF.
Certainly worth not moving some stuff up and down stairs, though, or at least that's what my husband will tell you.
Worth every penny for sure. Still tramatic!

One-way rental truck. We moved from San Antonio to KC that way.
One-way rental truck.
I can happily say I'm never doing that. Not in love with the idea of driving anything bigger than my Jetta over long distances. Not even my Jetta with a trailer. I have maneuverability issues.

Between the cost of the truck and gas ($1000), plus my time and money on the road, there's no way that would be better than the ($2500) I paid my Mayflowers movers to move me from MD to CA.
