"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Oh, Tom! Those are so cool.

We were blessed with a super scheduled baby, so I have no advice but to sleep when he sleeps. Forget laundry or anything else and nap whenever you can.

I have had transfer papers signed.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Storm is naked! I can't display that!

I didn't like the Storm one. It evoked water nymph, and she is not that. If the hair had morphed into lightning, it would have worked better. And not had the obvious nipple in the silhouette.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, suddenly I'm a fan of gmail again -- it noticed that I said "attached is" in the body of my message, but forgot to put the attachments! Good call, gmail.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Storm is canonically naked and wet on more than one occasion, but it's hardly the source of her cool. And if you read the summary, they get that and it's just an excuse to show nip. Feh. Could have been so much better.

Creepy!

I just realised that I was hesitant to wear a denim skirt to work because I'd never seen anyone else do it, but I didn't hesitate to wear leather skirts despite never having seen that either. Hrmm. They're long and polite leather skirts, but in 20 years of office work, I think I've never seen anyone else wear any. I have struck leather pants off the list--I used to wear those in my first gig. Not sure why I have that line now, aside from the fact that I don't have any leather pants anymore.

I think leather pants had kind of a mainstream moment that's mostly over.

I am so bad with mainstream that it's lucky I'm over them too. My $30 pair gave up the ghost. They were a very normal-looking pair, jeans-cut mens-style, not like the ones Buffy would wear. I would never have worn that more jodhpur-style pant to work. Silk and leather. Those were the days. Those were also the early 90s. And I was young. These days I try and stick to only one fondlable fabric at a time at work.

Tonight I have my FAA ground school exam. Any working brain~ma that people have available at 7 pm EDT would be deeply appreciated. I feel like I've forgotten 85% of everything I've learned since January.

Eh, they're still in the Newport News catalog, so I think they're still having a mainstream moment.

I'm hoping the autumn fashion "trend" cycles back to neo-Victorian. I want to easily find ruffly blouses and fitted jackets again.

Huh. I can't remember the last time I saw someone wearing them casually. But then, I've barely left my apartment in 6 months, so who knows what's going on Out There?
