Trust my rage

We are in the midst of the adoption process now, even though Shane was conceived after we were legally married in CA and DW is listed on his birth certificate. Weak. It will be a step parent adoption.

This is exactly the situation my clients are in except the babies were born overseas. Are you guys using an attorney? Would you mind asking her/him if i could ask some questions. I'm extra interested in the experiences of people doing this in CA because it is very analogous to my client. (parents legally married before baby is born, both names on the BC, etc)

I could totally take this to email, btw.

I have no idea. When I have the time to hit stores, I guess I'll find out.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm not saying it's right! But the last time I got measured by some joker at VS, she had my cup size up and my band size down, and I understand it's supposed to be the same actual cup size, but yeah, no.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think it's always better to get it measured by someone else. There's some compromise involved in handling the tape yourself.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Dag, this stir fry turned out real good: Mushrooms, tofu, purple onions, red pepper, spinach, red lettuce, green onions.

The secret ingredient was: fun! No wait, the secret ingredient was actually ginger. It really makes everything else pop. I'm glad I didn't give up on that little jar of crystallized ginger.

I'm getting a lot more confident in making my own sauces for stir fry. I used to just get a bottle of something at TJ's, now I'm all, "Soy sauce, mustard, honey, hot sauce, ginger, garlic and go!" I marinated the tofu in that sauce and it was so good.

I don't often watch Glee (timing issues) but I'm trying to figure out whether to be pissed off or not. Theme was feminism and then in the final scenes they had two boys fighting/agreeing not to fight over a girl in front of her, without consulting her and I can't decide whether that was a deliberate juxtaposition of "they still don't get it" or just the writers don't get it. If the former, seemed pretty...subtle, and I fear the message is lost. If the latter, well, grr. I don't know why this is pissing me off tonight, but it is. I might take it differently if I watched regularly, but this just pinged wrong.

Thanks, Perkins--actually, I don't know if I've ever seen a Criminal Minds vid before. Now I want to hug the BAU. Ah, team.

just the writers don't get it.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

sarameg, Glee has lots of issues like that, where the writers have a character say something right and then do something wrong and it's really questionable whether it's the writers or the characters who don't get it. I really don't know how to interpret it.
