My French teacher my freshman year, Mr. Fong, used to get high all day with the (awesome)math teacher. We could smell the dope on their breath and clothing. Mr. Fong also used to play French movies with a lot of nudity with them. I don't think any of the teens in class complained, but it was weird.
We had a new, different, wonderful teacher for Soph-Senior years. Thank goodness.

I also just remembered that the long term sub for Health class (sex and drug education, basically) the year after I graduated was someone who was a senior what I was a freshman. He was going to high school parties and sleeping with high school girls while teaching health!
Small towns are weird.
I also trained the teacher he was subbing for at Penney's, where she worked after not being able to take teaching anymore.

I think only some states have moment of silence. It seems to be a compromise for the places that want to have a morning prayer.

The first time my brother Chris got high was with his 6th grade teacher. It was the early 70s and that kind of thing happened sometimes.
