Early: Where'd she go? Simon: I can't keep track of her when she's not incorporeally possessing a space ship. Don't look at me.

A new type of speed cameras which can use satellites to measure average speed over long distances are being tested in Britain.

I find the whole British camera thing kinda creepy.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've never had my own office with walls in the 22 years I've been working, just cubicles and open desks (at the libraries).

Punishingly Intricate

I can not overstate how happy I am that I have my own office again (after 10 years in cubes). I keep worrying that they'll take it away from me!

I was hoping to find some sort of resource that would educate me on the varying state requirements to be legally recognized as a parent, even if you are the non-bio parent.

Huh. You'd think if she's ALREADY on the birth certificate then it would...already be done? Lambda Legal has a quick rundown of which states recognize second (gay) parent adoption and some of the caselaw which made is so (Colorado does, FYI).

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've never had an office. My last workplace, I was in an open-plan cube facing a wall so people could come up behind me without warning. ICK. Currently I'm at a desk, but my back faces a wall so I can see when people are approaching me.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

As MFNlaw said yesterday when we were on the phone, "my law degree entitles me to a door". We agreed that the words hundred thousandS would have to be in any job offer that included a cubicle.

I've had an office for quite awhile, but partly that's because I work for a San Francisco company and our lease expenses are so small compared to out there that there's no particular need to be efficient about space.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am a hot mess right now. I'm seriously considering having a glass of wine now and trying to work more later.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I wish I had chocolate.

Jesse, I think you should have your wine.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think I may!

I also just realized why I should be even more irate about the service fees on the tickets I bought online yesterday: They are will-call tickets! I wonder if they will even give me a physical ticket. How is that more expensive for them than my going to the box office and having a person sell them to me??? Grrr!
