Well, I did manage to get all the pre storm chores done including firewood and the library. But then the SO went out on a bison delivery run, so he`s driving back now and it`s started. Bless his generous heart, but dude next time have generous impulses with a little more lead time.
Wind was crazy this morning. Serious backdraft while I was starting the fire. So bad it set the smoke alarms off. So then I had the doors open and everything was swooping around the house and then it was cold so the heater kicked on. All very exciting for about five minutes. But it`s going now. I`ma get in the shower and then get the laundry going in case we lose water.
Dawn: Is that supposed to scare me? Spike: Little tremble wouldn't hurt.

There is VERY limited street parking but if you make the small mistake of parking in an overlapping spot, you're paying $15 to the city. On the plus side, it's only $15. it's still annoying.

It's amazing how quickly you change your definition of "normal." five years ago, a forecast for five days straight of downpours would not have seemed the least bit odd. I hope it's good for the drought, at least. Looks like we are going to get our entire annual rainfall by Friday.
