This is so nice. Having everyone together for my birthday. Of course, you could smash in all my toes with a hammer and it will still be the bestest Buffy Birthday Bash in a big long while.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Nora - and anyone else moving or just decluttering: I've had a lot of satisfaction donating things to charity auctions. The money goes to a good cause and your item goes to someone excited about it. An art print I'd had since childhood and outgrown went for $80, for instance, and it was great to watch it happen. Clearly you can't get rid of everything that way, but it's a nice option to consider. Heck, I've got a couple of items in mind for the next one that comes along.

So I had a lovely, full weekend. I took friday off to do stuff that needed doing. Didn't get to all of it, but enough (except for forgetting the gorgonzola.) Mfnlaw came up from the wilds of DC and we went to dinner. Um, we can talk a lot. I got us up way too early to farmers' market, then forced her to drive me out to EC for a haircut. Then we talked a lot. And belatedly thought of dinner and ate leftovers and FM fare. And her dad's homemade wine. A lot of it. And talked. Got up way too early swam, and then saw Maria on her way. Headed right off to a surprise bridal shower where I ate way too much fondue. Oof. Bride to be was surprised to the point of happy tears. 7 hours later, I am home, doing lots of laundry, and watching the cats stalk a fly.

Very good weekend.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, here's a random question: I told my mother I'd make her a birthday cake. But she's on Weight Watchers. Anyone have any reasonably low-fat/cal suggestions? I was thinking maybe angel food cake?

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Angel food is a good choice, with some cut-up berries on the side. And perhaps some Lite Cool Whip if she likes such things.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

The only downside is, I would have to buy a pan.

Graeter`s!

That`s all I got, because the rest of my brain cells are all currently occupied by playoff hockey.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I actively encourage everyone to steal those jars from your mothers and send them to me! MWAHAHAHA!

Mac was really trying all day long to be a pill, but it never quite took. I am ridiculously pleased with that.

I am now going to bed!
