When they were kittens they did follow us around. We used to accuse Manny of thinking we were holding votes in the office, since he always felt the need to be in there as soon as we both were. As a result, we were never able to democratically change this parliamentary procedure.

It depends on if the guys have anything better to do, like bask in the sun somewhere. But right now, I've got a Taz flopped on me, getting real comfy.
Also, ugh, msbelle.
bon- yes! They love hanging out when we are in the office. Stepping on the keyboard, wanting to sit in laps, investigating whatever that pile of papers is.
You guys understand you're describing a nightmare for me, right? I read all the clingy cat stories and it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end.
Mine aren't clingy! They don't much like being picked up, and Percy still won't sit on my lap though he loves being petted. Leo climbs up on me in the evenings for a few minutes of snuggle time, and then he walks away. Right now, neither of them is in sight. They're probably asleep somewhere.
Yay fleas!
Jesse, speaking of Pillars of the Earth, there's a miniseries in production, starring Ian McShane and Matthew Macfaddyen. I have to say that although McShane's too old for Walleran, I'll still have to watch, just for that.
Ooh! I did not know that.
Seeing "Yay, fleas!" following a succession of cat posts caused a moment of confusion.
Dean will follow me around at times. Usually when I get home from work. He's like a little puppy dog, and sometimes I'll be mean and back and forth to see him catch up.
Although I have stepped on him once or twice because I didn't realize he was behind me.
He's much more affectionate than his sister Maddie. He defintly wants to be petted and get on my lap, that is until the lights go out. Then he runs off the bed and goes somewhere. Maddie isn't much of a lap cat, but she will get in bed at night or in the morning and want some affection.
I certainly got used to being climbed on and followed and interrupted with the kids, but our last cat was another truly aloof loner, until he was old.
Switch is adorable and very vocal, and has this attitude like, "We're partners! Best buds! We're going to the kitchen? Awesome! Wait up!" He trots very much like a puppy, too.

Kripkat is obsessed with the printer (like many cats, I know). He acts like it's his personal deity. (And his holy son is the DVD player.) He jogs to the office just in case we'll be printing in there.

But they're super cute, and pleasing to the touch, and they love you. It cannot be understated how nice it is that they love you.
