Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I am in the office right now and both cats JUST HAPPEN to be in here with me. In a few moments, when I go to the kitchen, they will eventually JUST HAPPEN to be in there. Nothing to do with me, no sir.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh jeez, msbelle.

Do other people's cats follow them around?

Yep. It's especially funny when he tries to guess where I'm going and gets it wrong.

Because books.

Cortez generally wants nothing to do with any of us unless it's time to eat, when some rubbing against your legs goes on. But he was a stray and maybe used to being on his own? He's happy to let you pick him up and pet him, but he really doesn't seek you out.

The kitten, though. I should have named him Velcro. Good thing I'm sort of fond of him.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Eww, msbelle, one more reason to glad you're moving into a place of your own!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

People always say my cat has a dog's personality. I just call him needy.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Successful consumption of oatmeal this morning!

Which hopefully balances out the tacos I got from Jack in the Box last night at 11:30.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Leifur will usually stay in the same room as me for a couple of hours when I get home and when I get up in the morning. But eventually he wanders off. He's affectionate, but he's fine with a little space.

Jesse, speaking of Pillars of the Earth, there's a miniseries in production, starring Ian McShane and Matthew Macfaddyen. I have to say that although McShane's too old for Walleran, I'll still have to watch, just for that.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Note to the gorgeous sales clerk in Lucky who flirted with me this morning: GLLLRGGGLGHGGHH. And, thank you. I needed that. Sure, it's your job, but you made more eye contact than salespeople in stores where I actually spent money. Also, GLLRRGLGGHH.

I made it in and out of the Container Store unharmed! And I actually have $35 still on my gift card from a million years ago (and I'm not even talking to the guy who gave it to me anymore, so spending it will be extra-sweet). I just can't decide if I should impulse shop or...no, I'll plan this carefully and spend my little money.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I just got all the way dressed, in outside pants and everything, and then saw the text from my hairdresser saying she was sick and needed to cancel.

I guess I will go run errands anyway, make use of the outside pants.
