I had dinner with Alibelle at Caioti which has the best salads and yummy chicken. Noah tried asparagus and a brussel sprout (good with asparagus and no good on brussel sprout). Alibelli had BBQ chicken pizza which looked yum.

My fave part, of which I didn't partake, is when you sit down, they bring you baked bread things covered in garlic and oil. So yum. Noah had one and Alibelle had some and I just coveted.

Our new potty training plan involves bribery -- M&Ms per time he uses the potty and doesn't have an accident. We went to the bathroom like 4 times at the restaurant. It was irksome when I finally said, "No. Not until you finish dinner" he peed in his pants.

ARGH.

Yeah. It was almost like, "SEE I told you I had to pee." Moral of the story, I have to listen better, even if it means trooping through the kitchen a fifth time to get to the bathroom. And yes, you have to walk through the kitchen to the bathroom.

In other news, I had to do a National Charity League event yesterday. I painted my fingernails a Nubar green and they looked GREAT. I need more Nubar, but less green. And I still need to take Burrell and ita their respective polishes.

Oh man, that is an instant flash back to that bit of time with both my kids. But, if I remember correctly, that was just before it really clicked for each of them.

Sorry for the pity party rant above. I'm really nervous about the test tomorrow and feeling cruddy really doesn't help. I know my material, but my health has compromised my endurance.

I went to a restaurant last weekend where the women's restroom had two toilets without any kind of divider or anything. Most of the room was laid out like a normal single-person restroom -- just one room, the door that led out to the main restaurant area had a lock, sink and toilet in the same room -- except that there were two toilets.

Nora, don't be surprised if they can't flex too much on PTO. At the law firms I worked at you could make a deal on vacation if you were coming in at a very high level, but any of the staff positions, including managers had their PTO tied directly into a payroll matrix. It's tricky on the back end to set somebody up in the system that's an exception to the rules.

You might get a one-time bump for an extra week, but I'd actually look to find a little more money on the move.

Then again, it kind of depends on how they're tracking PTO and how it's set up in the system.

But from my experience if it's going through payroll and tied to pay grade it's not just the cost of the vacation that they balk at but having to deal with an exception in the system going forward that's problematic. If you start making a lot of exceptions then it becomes a huge headache to administer.

Whereas, a one-time exception or more cash for moving is more negotiable.

Ack, Kat! I'm sure Noah feels totally justified.
