It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

Because books.

I suddenly feel a new desire to catch up on the X-Men movies.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

These are things we thought about very deeply during University. Boyfriend might not have understood that/why I liked Wolverine more than I liked him (still do, am single, don't even ask) but my female friends totally grokked it.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

University?! It seems like the first one just came out a few years ago.

Of course it just hit me the other day that Friends has been over for six years now.

My SIL is getting a trip to Hawaii this fall with her best friend (a blackhawk pilot in Iraq) courtesy of said friend. She hasn't had a trip like this in forever, so I'm excited for her (and envious.)

My Patrick Stewart-induced Professor X lust is recent, but I've been perving on Wolverine and Nightcrawler for more than half my life.

Oh, gods, the things I should have too much shame to admit in public.

Wow, now there's a job, sarameg. That's very cool for her.

I'm totally with you on the Wolverine love, ita. Nightcrawler ... not so much.

He's blue and he's furry and he makes a nasty smell when he teleports. But he's shy and he's funny and he likes to pretend he's a pirate and he's very very brave. And he has a bit of that "Am I bound for hell?" thing about him that I've apparently found hot for a very long time.

Movie Nightcrawler? Not as much, despite being played by Alan Cumming. They made him scaly.

Okay, see that's the only Nightcrawler I know. And while I do love Alan Cumming a lot, that particular look didn't quite do it for me, yeah.

Her friend is a badass. She's apparently high enough rank now she apparently doesn't have to fly as much as she does, but she loves flying. Worries PJ a lot. Since she's single (and deployed to bumfuck warzone a lot, so like my brother when he was deployed, $$ aplenty, little to spend it on) she tries her best to spoil PJ and the kids as much as possible. I've never met her, but I love her for that alone. This past xmas, she sent several hundred for PJ to buy presents.
